We went with the solid gray sling so my husband would use it, and that really worked! I know you can use it from birth and the DVD showed that well, but anyway, we got ours at 4 months old and have been using it a year already! Now we do a hip carry and use it more for shorter errands cause he's so big, but it was even more helpful when he was smaller and still on the front.
